During the start of the pandemic, Saint Louis University Trudy Busch Valentine School of Nursing took the steps needed for the safety of our speakers and participants as we planned our events in a live virtual platform. We maintained that through 2020-2021 Advanced Practice Nursing Conferences. We will continue to record our offerings as we return to in-person events. Those who register for our events will indicate if they are planning to participate in person or view the recorded conference afterwards. It is important that we offer the latest Advanced Practice Nursing education in a manner that is most comfortable for all.

25th Annual Advanced Practice Nursing Skills Workshop & Conference

Date: October 6-7, 2022

This advanced practice nursing skills workshop and conference offers local and regional nurse practitioners the ability to expand their knowledge and skills while networking with other participants. Our skills workshops are highly sought after with nationally renowned speakers with many hands-on opportunities.

This year our conference presentations offer three different tracks depending on specialties. There will be Acute Care/Hospital track, Pediatric track and family/adult track to suit all participants. Continuing education nursing contact hours will be provided for the instruction, as well as pharmacology hours specific to the sessions.

Registered participants will:

  • Receive 6.0-13 nursing contact hours, including pharmacology hours. The number of pharmacology hours will vary per session choice.
  • Enhance clinical skills

University Nursing Group

The University Nursing Group, the faculty practice plan of Saint Louis University Trudy Busch Valentine School of Nursing, offerscourses, institutes and workshops for registered nurses throughout the year.

A full range of nursing care services are available through the University Nursing Group to private and public agencies that desire such services on a contractual basis. These services include: adult, pediatric and family nurse practitioner services; nursing management consultation services, continuing nursing education, and other professional nursing activities.

Annual conferences on perinatal nursing and advanced nursing practice are provided on site. Off-site workshops or courses are provided upon request. For more information, email nursing@slu.edu.
